Uploaders

uPic on Mac

uPic is a free menu bar uploader for macOS. Its Custom host works with your server.

1. Make an uploader on your server

  1. Sign in to your server and open Settings > Uploaders, then Add uploader.
  2. Pick uPic, give it a name you'll recognize, and check the folder, visibility and link style. The defaults are fine.
  3. The next page has these same steps with your server and token already filled in. The token is shown once, so copy it or download the files now.

The snippets below use https://drive.example.com and stu_YOUR_UPLOADER_TOKEN. Swap in your own if you set things up by hand.

2. Add a Custom host

  1. In uPic open Preferences > Hosts, press + and choose Custom.
  2. API URL:
    text
    https://drive.example.com/api/v1/upload
  3. Request method POST, file field file.
  4. Headers: add both of these. The Content-Type one makes uPic send a normal form upload instead of JSON.
    text
    Authorization: Bearer stu_YOUR_UPLOADER_TOKEN
    Content-Type: multipart/form-data
  5. URL path (where the link is in the answer):
    json
    ["url"]
  6. Leave Domain empty: the server already answers with the full link. Save, then make it your default host.
