The first one

The first build of the Stavo server: your own Drive on your own hardware. It runs on your NAS, keeps your files on your disks and puts them on your own domain. The server and the web app are free.

What's in it

• Drive: folders, search, versions, a 30 day trash, resumable uploads and duplicate cleanup.
• Docs, Sheets, Slides and Code in the browser, edited live with everyone on your server. Code has an optional sandboxed terminal.
• Notes and databases: Markdown notes with links, backlinks, tags and daily notes, plus databases with table, board, calendar and gallery views.
• Photos: timeline, albums, map, people and smart search for everything your iPhone backs up.
• Sharing: links on your domain with passwords, expiry and burn after viewing, and proper previews in Discord, Slack and iMessage.
• Spaces: shared drives for a family, a club or a project.
• Secure Vault: end-to-end encrypted, your server only stores ciphertext.
• Assistant: works on your files with the AI you pick (Claude recommended, OpenAI, Gemini, Ollama or anything OpenAI-compatible). @-mentions, / commands and your own commands. Edits wait for review.
• MCP server for Claude Desktop, Claude Code and claude.ai.
• Plugins from the official catalog, or sideload your own.
• Your data, portable: move to another Stavo server in one go, or download everything in open formats.
• Updates: release notes in the dashboard and one click updates with a database backup first.
• CleanShot import that keeps the original IDs, so old links keep working.

• First visit goes to /setup to make the admin account.
• A license key is optional. It only unlocks the native apps after their trial.
